whoo-hoo! now you can see the updates for anime.mircx.com! ^_^ so if anyone wants to check it out, go ahead! ^_^

Tuesday, January 27, 2004

whoo-hoo! almost done with my revamp. next time, i'll have one of Shinpachi, mah bishie in PMK. ^_^

Sunday, January 25, 2004

whee! i'm so glad that i didn't get oniichan into any trouble! heh, the only thing that was troubling was the thing that his brother's girlfriend said to him. *shudder* kind of odd, but when he just blurted it out of nowhere, i started cracking up. ahahahaa, it was funny

i'm planning another DDR day with Jessica, Allie, Melody, and Arnold.  hopefully, Melody and Jessica can go, unlike last time. it was just me, oniichan, and allie. ahaha, it was funny how random we were. ^_^

yay! my dad's gonna buy me a new DDR mat!...but the only problem is, i probably won't be getting it for a while. i wanted to buy it, like, ASAP, but my dad's all like, "you're gonna waste your money, didn't i tell you that you need to save up for when you go to Japan and New York?" so i'm like, "cool! you'll buy it for me?" and he said, "sure, i can save up from the money that i get working in the commissary." and i'm all like, "YAY! thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!"

ah, on another note, my dad's in Japan, which makes it a problem. lol. and no, he works in the Navy, not in the commissary. otherwise, he could've just worked for the one here in 32nd street, lol. my dad lives alone, so he has nothing to do, so on top of the pay he gets from the Navy, he works part-time in the commissary, too. so yay! ^_^

i read this funny doujinshi for Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and it's hilarious! ahahaha! just ask me to send it for you if you want to read it. it's not long, just about 14 pages, i think. ^_^

i seriously think that oniichan's taking some of my bandwith for uploading that MP3...lol, oh well. i can't hear the song because my quicktime's outdated, so yeah! i dun get to hear it! whoo-hoo! he says it gives him a headache

guess what, kiddies?! Tomorrow's Kensuki Kita's birthday! ahahaha! whoo-hoo! he's gonna be 27 tomorrow! yay! happy birthday Kita-san! otanjyoubi omedetou! ^_^

Kensuke Kita's the guitar player in my fave J-Rock band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation. and if you still dunno who the band is...ask anyone who watches Naruto. I heard of Asian Kung-Fu Generation through Naruto when they played "Haruka Kanata" or "Far Far Away" or however else you can translate it as. hee hee, if no one from my school knows who the hell i'm talking about (Naruto-wise), ask Chris for more info. the Filipino Chris who was new to this school this year and loves the color orange (note the backpack) he plays CounterStrike and watches Naruto. sweet. ^_^

the lead singer, however, Masafumi Gotou, looks a hell lot like Shingen (heh, no one here knows who i'm talking about, lol) maybe it's because of the glasses and the hairstyle, but that's just me. :p his b-day's on 12/02, so i was like, "wow! he got da same b-day month as meh! hee hee hee!" but he's cool. like his singing. all punk-ish, and quite a bit of screaming, but his singing's nice overall. he's cool. i dun like a lot of J-Pop or J-Rock people, probably cuz i'm in america, and i really like the Filipino singers because of the styles they have on their music videos and the way they look is so pretty! ^_^ i like Jolina. she was good on "Ariba! Ariba!" and i loved that show. now i dun like it because Jolina isn't in there anymore... *sob sob* ;_;

oh well. there's my random rant! ^_^ i'll be seeing ya! ^_^

Whoo-hoo! ^_^ i'm so happy! oniichan let me borrow FFX-2! now i can continue!

I also got accepted to be a translator for the scanlator group "Aku-Tenshi" their homepage is http://www.aku-tenshi.com/index.php i am currently working on a manga for them right now and the plot seems really interesting! ^_^

and i also found out quite an interesting little tidbit. *grin* Some hardcore Pokemon fans will know that out of every single episode in the universe that was played, only one didn't make the cut in America. "Why is that,"  you ask? well, i finally know why.

Actually, it didn't come out in america because of the language said here or because of nudity (which is what i thought), but it was because of something else. something that um...probably only video games can do, as i can put it....^_________________________^

you see those notices that are on the screen when you watch anime? you know, the ones that say, "For this anime, please watch in a well lit room and please sit as far away from the TV as you can." remember seeing that odd text in the beginning of  each episode? well, if you haven't figured out what it meant, then this is my translation.

heh heh, the reason why they put that in all anime was because Pokemon started the dang thing! ^_______________________________^ (i just can't stop smirking at what they did! ^_______^)

Pokemon Episode 38, the removed episode, the only episode with Porygon making its appearance, also titled, "Dennou Senshi Porigon," or "Robotic Soldier Porygon," had red and blue flashy lights on the screen. apparently, you know kids and their tendency to sit close to the screen. Well, as stated in the .txt notice from Excalibur fansubs (http://www.excalibur-fansubs.tk), the cultural notes in the first volume of Risky Safety mentioned that on December 16, 1997, the red and blue flashing lights in the bg of the episode caused about 685 children all across Japan to have headaches, nausea, and for some, even photosensitive seizures, which resulted in about 150 hospitalized kids. and because of that, all anime broadcast on Japanese TV begins with some weird text advising the kids to watch "in a well lit room and sit far away from the TV."

and that's why we never saw the episode with Porygon in it. Japan banned it and American feared it. i still can't stop grinning because of this interesting piece of information. ^_^ and Excalibur happened to fansub it, too, which is odd...i wonder if any of them sat far from the comp and in a well lit room...lol ^____________________________^
